    Hi, I updated this plugin today and it crashed the website, i was able to rollback the plugin in recovery mode, is the error below a one off or will crash again if i try to update?

    WordPress version 5.4.1
    Current theme: Twenty Sixteen (version 2.1)
    Current plugin: Shield Security (version 9.0.1) – > reverted to 9.0 this was from recovery email
    PHP version 7.3.16

    It looks like WordPress didn’t upgrade the plugin correctly and the files on there are mismatched.

    It may be a once-off, but if it’s repeating after an upgrade then the installation is broken and needs to be reinstalled.

    Try the upgrade again – you could try removing it and reinstalling it from scratch to be sure there isn’t anything wrong with the upgrade process.

    I wish there was more we could doto mitigate this problem – this can sometimes happens where the WordPress upgrade process doesn’t run correctly.
