    Hi,

I have the latest build installed of WordPress on a multisite installtion, but iTheme Security won’t update from 7.2.0 to 7.3.1. When I click update plugin I get this message:
    404
    Not Found
The resource requested could not be found on this server!

    Thanks for your help.

  • Hey @wuruwhi

I had a similar issue. I got in touch with my hosting company and asked them to look into. There can be a server side security setting (mod_security) enabled. Some hosts allow you to disable it from the cpanel. Mine doesn’t so I had to ask them to handle the plugin update.

Hope your hosting company can be as responsive if this is the cause of your issue.

    Good luck

@powerful1 thanks for the tip, I’ll contact them, I did not find the option in my cPanel.
I used to be able to update this plugin in the past, it’s just recently that the error showed up.

I’ll post again after trying this option.

So, I was not able to control the mod_security module from my cPanel. I contacted my hosting company and they whitelisted my IP in the module, keeping it active but not preventing me from updating anymore.

    The plugin is now up-to-date.

Thank you @powerful1 for pointing me in the right direction.

Awesome. Glad to hear it worked.
