Plugin updated too frequently without proper testing/QA

    I’ve used this plugin for years but lately tt seems like this plugin receives updates at least weekly and sometimes more than once weekly.. which break 90% of the sites I’m working on.

    The biggest problem is that it disappears ALL CONTENT on the front end. This seems to happen a lot, sadly, it’s rapidly becoming a plugin I can no longer depend on if I have to waste hours of time on multiple sites trying to run down why the admin is blank or why there’s no content on the site or why the WP Slimstat setting pages won’t switch..

    I appreciate and use this plugin but please minimize updates and do proper testing before you do release updates, it’s really very frustrating.

    This error goes away when Slimstat is disabled and the gallery begins to function normally again.

    We increased the limit of records retrieved from the database from 1000 to 5000 by default, and introduced a new option to allow our users to customize this value based on the level of perfomance of their server environment. Given that people seem to be having issue with the 5000 limit (which probably makes WordPress hit the PHP memory limit set on the server), we are going to bring it back to 1000, and let those with more powerful environments increase it as needed.

    What does this number do? It increases the accuracy of the reports, but it also increases the server resources (mainly memory) needed to crunch the data.

    If ALL CONTENT is disappearing from the front end, that must be a conflict with some other plugin, because no increase in resources have been done to the tracker. Only the report generation was impacted by this change.

    However, we’re always open to get this kind of feedback from our users. It’s what allows us to make Slimstat better and better.
