    Hi there,
I am doing maintenance on an older wordpress website that I did not originally create. It was built with custom theme templates (no child themes used) and the customer is not quite ready for me to give them a complete website overhaul. The Custom Post Type UI plugin version 0.8 is being used. If I update this plugin to version 1.4.3, will it blow out the custom post types/taxonomies? Normally I know this doesn’t happen, but since I’m not a developer I wanted to ask prior to updating. I don’t plan on updating the wordpress version until the plugin issues are resolved.
    Thank-you.

You should be fine. We don’t touch the content created in any way. We don’t edit/delete/create any of it, that’s all the user. There may be a temporary issue with 404 errors, but that would be resolvable by a quick permalinks flush. Otherwise, you should be fine.
