plugin updates

    Hi there,
    I am doing maintenance on an older wordpress website that I did not originally create. It was built with custom theme templates (no child themes used) and the customer is not quite ready for me to give them a complete website overhaul. The Advanced Custom Fields plugin version 3.5.8.1 is being used. If I update this plugin to version 4.4.11, will it blow out the custom fields & settings? Normally I know this doesn’t tend to happen, but since I’m not a developer I wanted to ask prior to updating. I don’t plan on updating the wordpress version until the plugin issues are resolved.
