plugin updates overwriting .htaccess file

    Updating the plugin has killed my site at least twice now. It is overwriting the .htaccess file. Is there a known conflict with All in One WP Security plugin? Because it seems to be leaving code, starting with:

    # BEGIN All In One WP Security
    #AIOWPS_BASIC_HTACCESS_RULES_START

    …in the .htaccess file when I update WP Statistics.
