[Plugin: User Permissions] Guest users cannot see any posts

    This plugin was working for me before but now guest users are not allowed to see any posts, they are always redirected. I had to disable the plugin but I’d love to use it again.

    Any idea why this is happening?

    After further investigation I have found that this problem occurs only w/ certain themes such as vSlider 3 and Greening. I am still not sure what these themes have in common that is causing the problem. I don’t have this problem w/ themes like Disconnected, WordPress Default, Craving4Green, and Sirius.

    It turns out the problem is not what I described earlier.

    The problem is actually w/ the Yet Another Related Posts Plugin. When it lists the related posts, if one of them happens to be protected then it redirects even though that post itself is not protected.

    I fixed this and blogged about the fix in my post Getting User Permissions to work with YARPP.
