Plugin uses server resources excessively

Hi there, one of our site is using server resources excessively. The site has been hosted on WPEngine and report from their side states that classic-editor is one of the plugins hitting server excessively and we need to resolve this asap. I request you to take this on priority and suggest me some steps to resolve the issue.
