• Excellent plugin! But it is not completed yet.

Next come the problems that I found.

    • In the preview non-English characters turned into marks of interrogation. Requires the full support UTF8.
    • You have to do to translate the plugin into other languages.
    • It would be convenient if the field “Date voucher expires” included the choice of the date from the calendar.
    • When you try to open the voucher in WordPress 2.9.2 came out a message: “Sorry, that item has run out”.

I hope my message will help to make this plugin better.
    Thank you.

  • I also have a few of the same issues using WordPress MU. Overall, the plugin is great. However, there are a few minor bugs:

    • When adding a new voucher, if user requires a valid email address be provided before download then the server sends back the error, “Sorry, that item was not found”.
    • I have also received a message to the affect of the item running out. However, I cannot provide the steps required to recreate the message.
    • The date the coupon expires should be automatically printed on the coupon in the same manner as the serial number.
    • The serial numbers should be available for download in a spreadsheet or CSV in the same manner as the email address
    • I know you have probably already received many statements to the same effect before. Really, a great plugin!

      Thanks

The plugin can support translations with just a little bit of work. If anyone is interested in generating a translation I’d be very grateful.

UTF support is something I don’t know much about, however I’ll look into it.

I will also try to include a JavaScript calendar for the expiry date, but I’m not sure if jQuery UI is a default part of the WordPress admin area. Otherwise I will have to use a JavaScript function bundled with the plugin.

If you get the message “Sorry, that item has run out” it means you set a limit on the number of downloads and the limit has been reached.

When adding a new voucher, if user requires a valid email address be provided before download then the server sends back the error, “Sorry, that item was not found”.

    I’ll look into this shortly.

The date the coupon expires should be automatically printed on the coupon in the same manner as the serial number.

The expiry date is only the date on which the voucher is no longer available for download – nothing to do with the voucher being valid for anyone accepting it. Therefore it wouldn’t help users to have the download expiry date on the voucher.

The serial numbers should be available for download in a spreadsheet or CSV in the same manner as the email address

Good idea, I’ll see if I can do that soon.

    Hello Chris

I like the plugin very much – but as you can see below as a Swiss Guy I have big problems with “non-English-Characters”:
    Angaben bentigt
Zur Erstellung des Gutscheins bentigen wir Ihren Namen und Ihre E-Mailadresse. Sie erhalten danach einen Link zum Download Ihres persnlichen Gutscheins.

I was wondering if you can tell me if you will implement UTF-8 soon or not… 😉

    Thanks and Regards,
    Zeblown
