[Plugin: W3 Total Cache] Custom Files Not being selected

    Hello,

    I have just installed the W£ Total Cache, and so far, I am very happy with it! I do have one slight problem with it though.

    In the Custom file list I have the following:

    favicon.ico
    wp-content/gallery/*
    wp-content/icons/*
    wp-content/uploads/avatars/*
    wp-content/plugins/wordpress-seo/css/xml-sitemap.xsl

    However, when I click the Upload Custom Files button, I only get 1 file, the favicon, and nothing else, and there should be a good few files in there.

    Am I doing something wrong? I have tried editing the entry to have say only:

    wp-content/gallery/*

    But this results in now files in the popup for upload.

    Please submit a bug submission form from the support tab of the plugin.

    Hello Frederick,

    I actually figured this out. Because my blog in on http://<domain>/blog, I have to put this in the input box:

    favicon.ico
    /blog/wp-content/gallery/*
    /blog/wp-content/icons/*
    /blog/wp-content/uploads/avatars/*
    /blog/wp-content/plugins/wordpress-seo/css/xml-sitemap.xsl

    I guess I thought that this would be picked up, but perhaps that is a misconception on my part.

    Would you class this as a bug?

    Not at all, it would be great if the plugin did this for you, but the fact that it supports this case at all means it’s not a bug. Sorry for the trouble

    Please mark this issue as resolved. I will see if there’s some way to detect this and update the settings automatically.

    Done. It would be great if it could, thanks! For now though, I have a workaround.
