There must be available for writing cache folder(s). It seems in your case there is no such folder on the server

BUT it was working. after doing the upgrade via wordpress it broke.

btw. I fulfill all requirements from the documentation, just read through the 41 pages PDF. All files and folders have been correctly chowned and chmodded => 755 so the webserver has write access to the files.
Web Optimizer has not a single option enabled, yet I get above errors when accessing its options page…
then after I enable some options I get:

So after settign all permissions right, deleting al cache files saving the settings, I still get errors. Then I look inside the cache directory and what do I see?

RW permissions. I am on a vhost running suPhp and need 755 permissions or at least 644. Now I begin to wonder why it was running before the latest upgrade. did the permissions with which files get written change?
thx for this notice. It seems 600 are default permissions PHP set for files on creation. There has been made a fix for that (very strange) PHP behavior.
You can apply a new version (from repository) via
a) deactivating plugin
b) deleting current web-optimizer folder (maybe w/o config.webo.php file)
c) activating plugin once more. All new files will be downloaded from repository.

it seems as if the .js concatenation, compression and caching works, but it is currently broken (probably due to these permission problems) for .css
BTW. sorry to sound a little harsh sometimes, its just that yours is the best plugin of this kind I could find and it was working but broke now for me 🙁

I don’t see here any ‘valid’ errors.
1) progress.html is ued for standalone application. It’s a minor bug that it can’t be written (and this doesn’t influence the main logic, it’s just installation troubles)
2) ExpiresActive is being checked via dummy .htaccess. So this error is a ‘good’ one. Web Optimizer disabled mod_expires usage operating data from this error.
Maybe cache clean-up? Can’t tell for sure what is wrong with CSS basing on this info.
