[Plugin: Web Optimizer] Installation problems
-
This plugin looks interesting, but trying to get it installed and activated isn’t really easy.
So far I’ve downloaded the plugin. I’ve checked that the necessary folders and files are writeable by my web server (IIS6).
I activate the plugin and BAM! That’s as far as it goes.
In the installation instructions on set 4 it says:
Deactivate GZIP in WordPress global settings. Web Optimizer itself has better compression support.
Is is just me? WordPress doesn’t actually have a global settings. There’s a General Settings page, but in there there’s no mention of GZip and as far as I’m aware there never has been – maybe it’s because I’m using IIS?
The next part of the error suite belongs to the Web Optimizer page which says:
Rendering of template admin_container.php failed.
And that’s as far as it gets. The rest of the page is blank.
Am I missing something?
