[Plugin: WH Testimonials] automatically generate excerpts

I would like to set up the user entry form to automatically create an except from the actual testimonial rather than manually completing another form field. Is this in development? If not how would I go about doing this? I am working on a counseling site and it works better if clients only have to fill in one field for testimonial rather than two.
