Added cron text to htaccess. Still no backup. Is there some path to troubleshooting this or should I just give up and try something else.
I’m having the same issue. I’ve added the .htaccess code and check the wp-config.php file and all seems well. I just keep getting Backup Stopped when I try to manually run the backup.
EDIT: I’m also running on 1.3. I have W3 installed but I’ve disabled it. I’ve also modded my backup dir to 766 but there are still no files in it.
Can you please post the contents of the backup log here.
After attempting to run two scheduled overnight backups, there was initially nothing here. I ran manually but it ran and did nothing so I stopped it.
11:21:32 : Backup stopped.
I’m now getting a new message.
BackUpWordPress has detected a problem. PHP is running in Safe Mode. Please contact your host and ask them to disable Safe Mode.
I’ve shut off the safe mode on the server but when I pull up phpinfo() it indicates safe mode still on. Working with server admin to figure out issue
@mtwk-applied – This support forum is for WordPress Backup to Dropbox not BackUpWordPress.

How doe one restore a Backup file from the Dropbox
Bill
Here is an old blog post I wrote on restoring:
http://www.mikeyd.com.au/2011/10/26/restoring-wordpress-from-a-backup-to-dropbox-using-cpanel-and-phpmyadmin/
Hopefully you will be able to restore with a click of a button early in the new year.
