Did you upgrade WordPress or add a new plugin?
If so the wpb2d will find these new files and upload them to dropbox.
Thanks for your prompt reply. I have not updated or added any new plugins or WordPress versions recently, by which I mean over a month. This all began the last day or so, and I have had the backup plugin long enough to have seen such behavior on previous updates, if that triggered it. Also, between the time I first wrote and now the backup directory went from 15MB to around 14MB (from 5MB when I first started noticing the problem) in the span of a few hours. Meanwhile I was still getting messages telling me hundreds of files were being replaced.
For the time being I’ve deactivated the plugin, which has made it stop.
That is quite odd. I cant think of anything that could be causing that issue.
I will keep an eye out in all my testing to see if notice anything similar.
I am having the same issue, but I only see that message coming up on my mac laptop, not my iMac. It is consistently showing me random amounts of files and today, I got a dropbox message that my DB was full.
This happened many many months ago and I stopped using the plug-in, and then thought I’d try again about 5 days ago. When I get info on my WordPress Backup folder, it’s only 600 mb, however. The full message might be related to some other things I’ve added just in the past two days, but the message of constant backing up and random amounts of files is still happening on the laptop only. When I’m not doing anything on my site in WP-admin, it shouldn’t be backing up – and it should be matching my scheduled backup, right?
