You could make a custom summary template, but this would be ugly for a table, since you would have to output the table header and footer manually within the post. The other option is CSS for the table.
I’ll add filters for the table output in the next major version though, this is something I had been meaning to do anyway.
by ugly Im guessing you mean the code to pull it off, I already pulling the table in to a page and style it, that part is easy it has the table header and footer automatically .
I also got a login system to work so only some folks can update, ond others can read, its just buggy too have them edit and go all the way to the back-end and deal with the complex navigation that it gets to be, then the client that is updating is going to be a secretary that might delete more that they should etc……
I found this plugin Front-end Editor that works great except it wont work on the form I guess because of the way its pulled in, you know on the summery page how you can edit the data there, couldn’t I show that on a front end page and just style it?
I will keep looking and playing with it, I will let you know if I get anywhere..
also I’m glad to here your doing a filter system that will be fab….
I’m also trying to get editing through the front end. I see that using the “user profile” style of form this functionality is already there. However, I need it to work on the “default” style that allows multiple records through the same form. Is this possible?
(excellent plug in btw!)
I would have to redesign the way the plugin is structured for this to work. I am working on that, though. This has been requested a few times now, so I’ll be sure to include this or something equivalent in the next major version.
I need this option as well, but I can’t figure out where this is considered RESOLVED.
Thanks.
