My plan is to force all URLs, front – and back end to use HTTPS.
Would it be enough to set the WordPress Address and the Site Address to use https:// ?

I just gave it a try and if I enter a http url manually it still works.

Can I get this working without this plugin or not?

OK, kinda gave up on getting this to work so I tried setting the above mentioned URLs to http, enable this plugin and only force some pages to use https.

These are the plugin’s settings: http://screencast.com/t/ToKRwXgxOb

it doesn’t work though, check this page: http://www.premaman.co.za/shop/ that page has the option set to force https and still it works just fine with http.
the debugging is enabled so check the console…

    questions upon questions:

    • do I need to set the port to 443?
    • do I need to provide a host for ssl if it is the same one the plugin is installed on?
    • what exactly does this option do? Secure Front Page

http://www.premaman.co.za/shop/ still works just fine although it should be forced to use https 🙁
