Another problem: the first day it works fine, but the second day it just keeps showing the popular posts from the previous day.
Emptying the cache makes it start working again, but ofcourse loses all previous data!
Changed back to previous version of this plugin.
Hi Ronald,
It’s supposed to be that way. The new 24 hours setting will get all those posts viewed within that time range.
@gerobe: other users have reported this as we;;. I’m already working on a fix.
@ Héctor:
why is that better? I am using wp popular posts for a long time now to make a day top 5 (and week top 5), not a top 5 of the last 24 hours.
In my opinion: not an improvement!

Thank you for fixing this!

I think the new 24 hours option is quite an improvement and makes much more sense then a daily statistic.
With the daily statistic all data was reset at midnight. The result was, that in the first hours of the new day, some strange postings made it under the top-postings for that day, only because some posts were hit by people coming from search engines etc. So these post were not really the popular ones.
With a relative 24 hour view your data is better “polished out”.

Unfortunately this topic is not resolved.
Just noticed, that the widget showed “No data so far” again in the night from the 31st December to the 1st of January. Also the posts shown in the first hours of the day are quite strange and surely not the top-posts within the last 24 hours.
Hi gerobe,
I will take a look into this.
