• The plugin does remove the footer text, but then I get a red bar with “Please return following links to the footer…” at the bottom of the page.
Obviously a copyright protection. The theme I am using is LilyPress by SMThemes

The page I need help with: [log in to see the link]

  • Hello @kiwihawk,

Thank you for reaching out to us.
Is that a premium theme? If yes, you should be able to remove that copyright text directly from the theme’s settings.
However you can try adding this code in Step 1:
    div class='smthemes'>Designed by <a href='http://mujerurbana.net/' target='_blank'>http://mujerurbana.net/</a>, thanks to: <a href='http://theme.today/' target='_blank'>http://theme.today</a>, <a href='http://www.netsmol.ru' target='_blank'>NetSmol</a> and <a href='http://crocotheme.com/' target='_blank'>crocotheme.com</a></div>

Leave step 2 empty and let me know how it goes.

    Warmly,
    Mihaela

I have done that with the same result.

Obviously the theme developer has a copyright protection built in that activates the red warning box that says “Please return following links to the footer:
Designed by http://mujerurbana.net/, thanks to: http://theme.today, NetSmol and crocotheme.com”

    Hello @kiwihawk,

Yes, apparently that theme has copyright protection.
Unfortunately our plugin was not designed for such a situation.
It was designed to only remove the copyright text and replace it with something else.

Sorry I could not be of more help! 🙁

    Warmly,
    Mihaela
