[Plugin: WP Event Ticketing] No email feature

I’ve recently installed the WP Event Ticketing plugin, but when a customer buys a ticket, they don’t get an email with the ticket details, plus the admin doesn’t get an email with the ticket details either.
I suspect something is broken with the latest version of wordpress, as there is an “Email Messages” section on the settings page, where you can setup messages to be sent to the buyer.
Does anyone else have problems with the latest version of wordpress and customers getting emails with their ticket information (i.e. not just the Paypal receipt)?
