[Plugin: WP Event Ticketing] No email feature

    I’ve recently installed the WP Event Ticketing plugin, but when a customer buys a ticket, they don’t get an email with the ticket details, plus the admin doesn’t get an email with the ticket details either.

    I suspect something is broken with the latest version of wordpress, as there is an “Email Messages” section on the settings page, where you can setup messages to be sent to the buyer.

    Does anyone else have problems with the latest version of wordpress and customers getting emails with their ticket information (i.e. not just the Paypal receipt)?

    Ok, so I fixed this problem. Anyone having the same issue, where the Event Ticketing plugin doesn’t send out emails, then check if your host has disabled the php mail() function.

    Mine had. To fix this, I had to install and configure the WP Mail SMTP plugin. It allows most wordpress plugins (that use php mail() or WP mail()) to use SMTP, which is rarely blocked by webhosts.

    I would request the following features, however:

    1. send an email to the seller (admin) every time a purchase is made, with the purchase details.
    2. ability to add shipping costs and/or booking fees to tickets.
