[Plugin: WP Forum Server] User Groups

How are User Groups used?

I can see how to define Categories and Forums. I can see how to define User Groups but I can’t see how to restrict Forums to User Groups.

Similarly, I can add Moderators to forums but when I add a reply, the moderator doesn’t receive any notification and there doesn’t seem to be a way of holding replies for moderation – I can’t seem to stop them from appearing straight on the forum which is a non-starter.

Am I missing something?

I was wondering the same….. What are their purpose, what do they allow you to do and not do?

Also, shouldn’t the User Groups actually be connected to the WordPress groups? (Author’s, Subscribers, etc.)

Nevermind…. I’ve figured out how to get it working.
You have to create some User Groups such as:

Admin
Moderators
Subscribers

You add members to those groups.

You then go to the forum category’s and select which groups are able to use/post to those particular forums.

So, it looks like it works like it should.
Although, I need to do more testing and see if a new user is made subscriber or whatever, since the groups don’t seem to be connected to the WordPress groups, clearly separate since you have to create your own for the forum.
