[Plugin: WP Security Scan] Table prefix change wp > xx

If I would use WP Security Scan to change the database prefix from wp_ to xx_ with wp_configuration.php 777-ed will WordPress put the site in maintenance mode during the whole procedure like it does when I update plugins or WordPress core?
