You also need to configure and enable stats in jetpack. Installing is just the first step.
Hi Dave and thanks for your replies. I have Jetpack activated but prior to that I am a WP-stats user and have been since I started with WP.
The WSPD settings page seems to be as it should and I haave some social pages there too and that has worked just fine. Since yesterday and the updated WSPD I got new info on the dashboard page but it still does not count any hits, clicks, referrer or so but the Jetpack stats are counting fine.
Do you still have this issue?

Yes it is the same and I have updated all your releases and it still does not show the same as above.
I have same issue. jet pack stats are working but the widget does not display correct value (not moving at all).
Please deactivate and reactivate the plugin. Let’s see if that works.
