• I was changing some settings in the admin panel of the plugin and then clicked to View Site and since then I have been getting this message:

    Forbidden

You don’t have permission to access /index.php on this server.

Additionally, a 403 Forbidden error was encountered while trying to use an ErrorDocument to handle the request.

Can’t seem to figure it out. I can get the wp-admin section/cpanel
but not any pages of the site, just this error message.

  • Check your .htaccess, although the plugin doesn’t add any code there that stops a visitor. Maybe some other plugin added code in there at the same time or the code in there got mangled somehow.

Thanks for The reply donncha. You definitely are Grade A in the support dept. It seems that at the moment I was changing settings the host was turning me off , due to server load. They seem to feel I have outgrown shared hosting due to increase of daily traffic yada yada yada.

Page load and traffic is why I installed the plugin Oh Well-I have come a long way from 100 people a month to getting close to that Alexa 100000 score.

Phew! Increased traffic is a good thing. 🙂
