[Plugin: WP Super Cache] Cache rebuild and what does it do
-
Hello,
I have a question regarding the “Cache rebuild” setting. It says “Serve a supercache file to anonymous users while a new file is being generated. Recommended for very busy websites with lots of comments. Makes “directly cached pages” and “Lockdown mode” obsolete.”
So let’s see if I understand correctly. With this OFF, a dynamic (not cached) page will be served, until a new file is generated. With this ON, an old cached file will be served, until a new one is generated. Is this correct?
If so, what would you suggest for a small blog that barely gets few hundred visits a day? Would setting this on still make my blog use less server resources?
Asking just out of curiosity… I wondered if the setting was only meant for “very busy” sites and not worth it in other cases.
Thanks!
