• Using WP Super Cache 1.4, and it all seems to be working well.

My site theme (Enfold) is repsonsive, so what settings do I want to select with regards to Mobiles devices?

Should I “Enable Mobile Device Support” or not? Ideally, I want mobile users to be delivered cached pages as well as desktop users – but it’s unclear which setting I should use to achieve this.

I’ve just deselected “Mobile Device Support” and now I’m getting the following message on the WP Super Cache admin pages:

    Mobile rewrite rules detected

For best performance you should enable “Mobile device support” or delete the mobile rewrite rules in your .htaccess. Look for the 2 lines with the text “2.0\ MMP|240×320” and delete those.

This will have no affect on ordinary users but mobile users will see uncached pages.

So does that mean I should delete these rewrite rules that have been added by WP Super Cache and leave the “Mobile Device Support” disabled in order to deliver cached pages to mobile users?

    Thanks,

    Daniel

OK, think I’ve sussed it through trial and error.

To get it to cache for mobile users I do have to disable the ‘Mobile Device Support’ and also remove the offending lines in the htaccess file.

That way it treats mobile users the same way as desktop users – and it all works.
