• I am having some serious performance issues that I believe are being caused by the super cache plugin. First a brief history. My site has a lot of images and uses a slideshow plugin to display images. I was working on a development site. The plugin developers suggested I try super cache. I did and this appeared to solve most of my problems.

So I used another plugin to migrate from the development site to the live site. I didn’t know that I was supposed to deactivate super cache before I did this. On the live site my problems were multiplied. Not only did the slideshows slow down, but I’m now getting server errors, major image distortion, and long load times that time out.

So my questions is, how do I fix this? Do I have to go through the uninstall process and reinstall? Since I’m using dynamic content on the slideshow pages, should these pages not be cached? I need help.

The slideshows are under multimedia:image galleries

  • Check the troubleshooting section of the documentation. You should probably delete wp-content/advanced-cache.php and let the plugin regenerate it. By the looks of things your front page is cached!

Looks like your image gallery is alright too.
