    Ha! I, of course, solved this immediately after posting for help.

    For anyone who is having this same issue, and not necessarily XML file savvy, make sure you wrap your HTML as such: <title><![CDATA[ <h1>HTML GOES HERE</br></h1>]]></title>
    …paying close attention to the CDATA and brackets.

    Yes, the CDATA and corresponding brackets are absolutely compulsory.
