[Plugin: WP Symposium] All pages show "[empty]"…

    Just noticed tonight that all pages related to Symposium (containing the shortcode) now show [empty] in place of the profile, forum, mail, etc… I can’t be sure when this first occurred as there have been several updates to the plugin since I last had a look (been too busy to keep proper track of things). I tried deleting the pages I set up manually and replaced them by running the Quick Setup process, but those pages have the same issue… Any ideas?

    Hiya – does “[empty]” actually show on the screen, or do you mean a blank page?

    The “[empty]” tag appears on the page in place of any of the content supplied by the Symposium plugin. And I’ve just noticed that it only appears when logged in, I fired up the forum page in firefox and it doesn’t show anything inside the “content” part of the page, just the header/footer/sidebars, and the “View forum level” is set to Guest :-/

    I had a look at that page and none of the scenarios fit, the plugin was working perfectly well with all current plugins and the same theme, but after one of the updates it hasn’t been showing anything at all (indicating it’s caused by one or more of the updates). No errors are showing in Firebug either as far as I can tell (probably because there’s nothing showing up in the content area)…

    Ok, it took a while but I finally discovered it’s being caused by an incompatibility issue with the GD Star Rating plugin. Both had been working perfectly together – in fact apart from occasionally appearing on the same page both work independently of each other – for months, which indicates it’s one of the recent updates that’s causing it.

    Any ideas?
