Hi,
First, thank you for the great plugin. But I have some problems with big tables (e.g. a table with more than 1000 rows, 4 columns from a csv
file).

When I try to edit and save the table (e.g. delete or hide columns, enable java script sorting options, or whatever) the table is truncated at different row numbers (e.g. 80, 140, etc.). Further, the changes are not saved – except the general table id, name and description.

If you need the csv file for testing, please let me know.

Hi,

this is a known issue. Likely you are affected by the “Suhosin” problem, a PHP extension on your server that prohibits saving large tables.

Additionally, it might be possible that memory issues come into effect, because with 1000 rows and 4 columns, that’s at least 4000 textareas for the browser to handle.
So, it might be that you won’t be able to use such a large table with the plugin reliably.

Thanks for the links/hints. The “problem” is ok for me because 1000+ rows are way too much in general for a blog entry – I just noticed it while testing.
The interesting thing is, that the truncation seems to be not deterministic, e.g. the number of truncated rows varies – perhaps it’s really some PHP memory management problem (I tested it with different browsers, all indicating the same problem).

yes, it might be that.
Additionally, I could imagine a time out problem, e.g. due to a slow internet connection.

Hi.
Let me first thank you for this helpful plugin.I’d like to ask why i cant use the tools of the table like insert image or insert link? i tried with different browsers but it was useless! Can you please help me finding the problem!

Hi,

very likely, some other plugin is messing with the JavaScript, e.g. because it also adds JavaScript code to the admin area of WordPress, but in the wrong way (it should only add the JavaScript on its own pages but not on those of other plugins).

Can you please try deactivating all other plugins that offer functionality in the admin area? Then one by one activate them again to find out which one is causing trouble.

Also: What WordPress version are you using?
