    Hi Tobias,
    You have a great plugin, but I have a problem. How can I stop the search function from looking at the HTML coding. I want it to just search for the text items that are viewable on the page, not anything in the HTML brackets such as links. The sort has the same problem. Is there anyway to tell the search and sort function to ignore HTML code? I really want to load up the table with links, but it messes up the search and sort.

    If you search for “Tiffany” you get false results since it’s in the link code.

    Hi Tom,

    this might be possible with some custom code for the DataTables library.
    I believe that you might need to set the “sType” argument to HTML (see http://www.datatables.net/usage/columns#sType) wrapped in a aoColumnsDef container.
    That code would then need to go into the “Custom Commands” textfield in the “DataTables JavaScript Features” section on the “Edit” screen of your table.
