I’ve created a table and the table preview looks fine. When I insert the code [table id=1 /] into a new or existing post and then look at a post preview, all i get is that same exact code. I’ve done this from both the visual and html tabs. I’ve also tried via the table insert icon and I get the same [table id=1 /] showing in the post itself.

Hi,

thanks for your question.

This probably means that your theme does not use the proper WordPress Template Tag functions to show the content of a post (namely the_content()). This is something that the theme developer should fix.

To verify this, please temporarily switch to the WordPress Default theme (Twenty Eleven) and check if the tables are shown there.
