[Plugin: WP-TopBar] Space between message and link text!

Top Bar is installed nicely on my current theme, Striking, but doesn’t seem to want to insert a character space between the message and link text. As a result, we have the following:

How do i insert a space after the word ‘write?’

Anyone?
Any help much appreciated
