• There is a lot of demand for a wpg3 Plugin, but I couldn’t find a project which is developing it yet. Are there some?

I would love to put some energy into plugin development if I find at least 2 more people working seriously with me.

The WPG3 Plugin should be backward compatible enabling all the WPG2 users to update their sites without need to change the old tags in WordPress pages and posts.

EDIT: Nevermind, I’m running 2.9.2. Upgrading now. Duh.

Okay, finally got the plugin installed on the non-git version with 3.1.2, but when putting the <wpg3> tags into a page, this is the error I get when viewing it:
Fatal error: __clone method called on non-object in /home/crickie/crickie.com/wp-content/plugins/wpg3/wpg3_class_WPG3_Xhttp.php on line 178

I’m getting so frustrated with this plug in. I did every single thing you guys have said to do and I keep getting the same errors:

    A valid Gallery3 REST-Album Url is rqeuired @ g3Home
    No Gallery Album here!
Maybe you need to enable Guest Access or set a REST Api Key.
    URL: http://infinitemagicphoto.com/gallery/rest/item/1

A valid Rest-Api Key to your Gallery is rqeuired @ restReqestKey
You entered: “(I had number in here, not sure if it’s okay to display it publicly)”

Why am I getting this error? I do not understand for the life of me. And I already enabled guest access and got the Rest Api Key and it keeps telling me that the one I entered isn’t working.

Start Testing by enabling “guest access” in g3 Settings.

should return a Object array, not a 404 as it is by now. You shouldn’t make your Rest key public, because it would enable people to edit your gallery and upload pictures.

Thank you for your quick reply digitaldonkey. I enable guest access by making the 0 a 1 right?

It seems to be having trouble with making that /rest/item file. It’s in red in my settings section. I just keep getting the same errors. I wish I knew what I was doing wrong. Please help me, I would really like to use this feature and I appreciate you making the plugin.

Thank you for your quick reply digitaldonkey. I enable guest access by making the 0 a 1 right? -> YES

I couldn’t even find your gallery.

    http://infinitemagicphoto.com/gallery -> 404 Not found 🙁

    infinitemagic

    (@infinitemagic)

Oh, the addres to the gallery is http://infinitemagicphoto.com/PhotoGallery

    (@digitaldonkey)

    –> 404

    (@infinitemagic)

Okay I just uninstalled it and reinstalled it and set the gallery to be at http://infinitemagicphoto.com/gallery

    (@infinitemagic)

Even after reinstalling it and updating everything again, I’m still getting this same error:

    A valid Gallery3 REST-Album Url is rqeuired @ g3Home
    No Gallery Album here!
Maybe you need to enable Guest Access or set a REST Api Key.

At least there is a gallery http://infinitemagicphoto.com/gallery/

But no Rest yet: Enable Rest, Enable GuestAccess

    infinitemagic

    (@infinitemagic)

I did enable those, I made the GuestAccess a 1 and I put a check mark in the Enable Rest box in the modules section.

    Thread Starter digitaldonkey

    (@digitaldonkey)

Maybe you have some .htaccess setting which prevent you from accessing rest I can not check this from here. But I can’t reach Rest 🙁

    infinitemagic

    (@infinitemagic)

I don’t know what to do or what this .htaccess is. I wish this would work for me, it seems like a really cool deal : (

Any other ideas or suggestions that I can do?

    infinitemagic

    (@infinitemagic)

OMG!! I finally figured out what was wrong!!

for the Gallery3 Url I was putting only:

    http://infinitemagicphoto.com/gallery

    and not

    http://infinitemagicphoto.com/gallery/index.php

Now it works with no errors! Thank you so much for your consistent help digitaldonkey!!
