Plugin wpml-config.xml files not showing up

Hi there, most of our plugins have their own xml files (in the plugin root), but in the string translation section, they simply won’t show up at all. Mostly we need to change the admin options for some of the plugins, but the xml files just aren’t being recognized. What could cause this? We are using a child theme if that makes any difference.

Example of one of the xml files in one of our plugins (just showing one option):
