    I use Dreamhost as my server, and ever since I installed this plugin I’ve been having problems with my sites.

    Here’s a quote directly from a DH Tech:

    “I’m one of the MySQL admins with DreamHost, please remove
    “yet-another-related-posts-plugin” from all wordpress sites. This plugin was running queries on the jerry mysql server, causing extreme slowness and customer complaints. I’ve disabled it for the domain b-townblog.com by moving it to the “plugins_disabled” directory. This is a very inefficient wordpress plugin, and will require expensive powerful dedicated server hosting at another host if it must be used. This plugin was the cause of the wordpress queries taking 100’s of second, causing your sites to all show internal server errors due to high usage. Further use of this plugin, should it cause mysql server problems again, may result in the database being disabled.”

    scottso – thanks for posting this notice and I apologize for the inconvenience my plugin may have caused.

    SQL performance is a known issue with YARPP 2.x and that’s why 3.0 will introduce a new caching mechanism which should significantly reduce the number of SQL queries, particularly on high-traffic sites. I encourage you to give it a run on your next wordpress project.
