Hello, I have read lots of conflicting reports on plug-ins and site speed. Does it hurt your website to have too many plugins? What number is ideal?

Also, I installed Jetpack and it caused problems on the site. How can I determine whether a certain plug-in will have a negative impact on the site?

    Thanks!

    Lisa

Assume every plugin will have some impact on speed.

There is no hard and fast rule. Every site/server is different. Just use what’s essential. Delete unused plugins.

Jetpack and it caused problems on the site

I recommend asking at https://ww.wp.xz.cn/support/plugin/jetpack/ so the plugin’s developers and support community can help you with this.

Which of the plugins among Autoptimize & WP Fastest Cache is best for my site https://blog.photoadking.com/ ?
    Can you please suggest one?

    Hi Lisa,

You should backup your site before installing a new plugin or updating WordPress. Backups can be performed with plugin, web host, FTP, phpmyadmin, etc. in case a a plugin causes a negative impact to your site, then you will be able to restore it to it’s previous working state.

WordPress lists some backup options here:
