Plugin's Custom Post Type Not Supported by Theme

I’m using a plugin that introduces a custom post type called “article” that isn’t recognized by the theme.
Categories created by plugin are recognized by theme. But If I try to publish any of the “articles”, nothing gets outputted to the site. On the other hand, regular posts and pages that are native to WordPress display fine.
Please let me know if you have any questions that would help explain the situation as fixing this problem is a high priority for me.
