Plugins for private diary?

So, I decided to write for myself. Keep a diary. The best tool available is, how obvious, WordPress.

Would you please recommend me a few plugins:
– a plugin that lets me add and edit posts directly in the frontend
– a plugin that creates a paged full-page archive: I want just the titles as clickable links. Obviously some year/month/category selection would be needed too.
