Plugins not installing in plugin folder

    Hi,

    I’m having a problem with my plugins. Whenever I install a new plugin manually (uploading it into the plugin folder) it won’t show up in the admin panel. However if I do it the other way around and upload the zip of a plugin, it won’t be uploaded into the plugin folder. Therefore all corresponding files (js, css) can’t be found and the plugins aren’t working properly.
    Any suggestions on what to do?
