Plugins unavailable

    I am trying to help my friend who created a site using wordpess – however the version of wordpress seems to be very limited, with no plugins or stylesheet editor options.

    Does anyone know if plugins or a stylesheet editor are available for the Pilcrow theme?

    I am not sure whether they may have set up the site as a blog rather than a site – would that matter?

    I am not sure how i can find out what version of the theme i am using or the version of wordpress – but could this be an issue?

    Is this a wordpress.com site or a self-hosted WordPress install?

    Ameliap, is it possible to provide a link to the site? As esmi suspects, it sounds like this is probably a WordPress.com site, which is a hosted platform that has a built-in selection of plugins, but no ability to upload third-party plugins or edit theme files directly.

    If you see a wordpress.com subdomain in the site’s dashboard/administration area, then it’s a WordPress.com site. For example, mygroovysite.wordpress.com/wp-admin.
