I need to change the destination of the link to Register you’ll find (lower left) here:
    http://www.spotlighting.us/wp-login.php

    Reason:

I installed Resister Plus (great plug in).

But I’m unable to efficiently feed email addresses it collects to my autoresponder system.

So I need to “register” people first through the autoresponder form, and then through Register Plus.

So I need that Register link to go to my autoresponder signup form. I have a page with the autoresponder signup form that I want to link to the Register link to.

(I would also like it to say Join instead of Register, but that’s lower priority.)

I have looked through my RegisterPlus files in the plugins folder. I can’t find a login file that seems to be what I need to edit there.

So I think it is a WordPress file. I looked thoroughly through wp-login.php in the public folder.

Am I on the right track?

    How can I fix this?

    Thanks! Thanks!

  • well you could just create your own login.php page that feeds to your autoresponder, then passes the data to wp-login after. it would work just the same.

I’ve created my own login page simply by copying the html from wp-login.php before, it’s fairly straight forward to do.

Actually, I just want that link to go to the autoresponder signup form. I’ve structured the site for two levels: members who can’t post (autoresponder only), and members who can post (autoresponder plus RegisterPlus).

The main glitch is that Register link goes to the RegisterPlus form instead of the autoresponder form.

Another glitch would be if people find the RegisterPlus form and fill it out before they’re in the autoresponder database. I’ll send people to it with an autoresponder, but theoretically the still could possibly fill out the RegPlus form. There’s no way to filter people who haven’t gone through the autoresponder first (that I know of).

Just hoping to tap this up a queue somehow to be read by someone who might have a solution.

Anybody able to help with this?

If not, maybe a few more details on how to do what jdingman suggests?
