hy,
yes your problem is the configuration of the madeira.surf – domain. if you look it up with https://www.dnswatch.info/ you will see, that the a-record of madeira.surf points to another ip than madeira.network – this must be the same.
you should also have only one a-record for each domain.
by now it looks like madeira.surf is only redirected to madeira.network – therefore the plugin has no chance to know which domain was entered previously and can’t work.
after the domains are configured correctly you have to set up both domains on your vps to point to your wordpress root.
then the plugin will have a chance to work. your configuration looks good.
please report if that helped for you – if you have problems with the configuration, please contact your host or registrar or see their help-documents.

Hi Matt,
Ok, I think I had some “brainfreeze” yesterday .. =)
Now it works flawless .. Thanks ..
If anyone else that gets a “brainfreeze” needs to know how to set their domains, here it goes:
@ 300 A xxx.xx.xx.xxx
www 300 A xxx.xx.xx.xxx
Where xxx.xx.xx.xxx is ip-number of the server where your original wordpress is installed.
This explanation should be in your plugin FAQ since not all of us is doing this everyday and we need some more basics from time to time .. Haha ..
Thanks again Matt
hy,
great that it works now!
we didn’t explain the domain configuration in detail (only the sentence “Make sure that the used domains already point to your WP-root.”, which is visible in the configuration page), because i think it would lead to much more questions, as it is somehow different in all the hosting environments…
anyway, thanks for the explanation you posted for other users!
