Yes, it is compatible. Polylang is designed to show comments (or reviews) only in the active language. If you would like to change this behavior, it will be a question for Polylang support forum. Good day! Polylang Comments Merger plugin not working. Maybe there are some other ways to display product comments in all languages?

Yes, it might be possible. But it will be a customization in the Polylang plugin. By default, it shows comments / reviews only in the active language.
