Polylang redirection to unknown slug

Hi, I am new using Polylang.

My web is set with 2 languages, Spanish and English. Spanish is the main Language.
I added the language switcher in the header, it looks fine, but it is not working the way I wanted.
I created a new homepage in English using the plugin which is: http://www.example/en/homepage however, when I switch to English it sends me to http://www.example/en/. It only shows a black page with “archive” on it, plus the header and footer. I thought that by switching, I was going to be sent to http://www.example/en/homepage. How can I adjust the switching, so it redirects to /en/homepage and not just /en/. else, what is the correct configuration?
