Thank you for providing feedback regarding your experience with WPForms Lite, but I’m sorry to hear that you found the Lite version lacking in features.
The Lite version of WPForms is primarily designed to include standard features for creating, customizing and submitting forms. As of WPForms Lite version 1.8.8.2 both the Multi-Column Form and Custom Form Templates features have been added to the list of standard features. In case it helps, we have a handy step-by-step guide and instructional video here that covers setting up a Multi-Column Form and we have a dedicated guide here that covers the process of setting up Custom Form Templates.
I hope those guides are helpful, but if you’re unsure about any step mentioned in them, please feel free to let me know, I’d be more than happy to explain more.
As for the Phone field, while it is a Pro feature, as a workaround, I would suggest using the Single Line Text field. It can be used to collect phone numbers by leveraging our input masks feature which gives the appearance of a Phone field. We have another handy guide that delves into this feature here.
In case it helps, here is a phone number input mask that you could test in your WPForms right now:
+1 (999)-999-9999
