Hello,
You’ll first want to do a full conflict test to determine if the issue is coming from a plugin/theme conflict.
To determine what’s causing the issue, please temporarily switch your theme back to Storefront and disable all plugins except for WooCommerce. If that resolves the issue, then re-enable plugins one-by-one until you find the one that’s causing the conflict.
You can find a more detailed explanation on how to do a conflict test here: https://docs.woocommerce.com/document/how-to-test-for-conflicts/

Thx, forgot to say in original post
Yes, default theme, popularity still wrong
Deactivated EVERY plugin, popularity still wrong
Its like when i used D3 and aother databases, it needs a reindex of key fields
So again i have the same problem the backend in analysis shows sales and orders correctly on live data
BUT
Front end via sort by popularity does not reflect what is in backend
Thx for the suggestion, but no resolution
Hello @pcmcs,
Just to make sure we’re on the same page, the Sort by Popularity (sales) filter displays products according to amounts (items) sold, from most to least.
In order to get a better understanding, can you please share with us the following:
– Screen capture of Items sold from most to least as shown under Analytics > Products (filter by global date range from first sold item);
– Screen capture of your shop page with the Sort by popularity filter on;
We recommend https://snipboard.io for easily sharing screenshots – please follow the instructions on that page, then paste the URL in this thread. You can redact any information you do not want to appear on a public forum.
Also, could you please share a copy of your site’s System Status? You can find it via WooCommerce > Status. Select “Get system report” and then “Copy for support”. Once you’ve done that, paste it here in your response.
Thanks!

Fixed it myself
extracted using analytics the true sales data
entered total sales # into Total_sales field in product for every product
Then in Status: Tools
cleared woocommerce transients
cleared expried transients
cleared orphaned variations
regenerated product lookup tables
cleared analytics cache
cleared site cache
Now sort by popularity is working on frontend and sorts in order as per backend analytics
Awesome! Thanks for sharing your solution with the WooCommerce community.
It’ll be helpful for others facing a similar issue.
