I am using “Division” theme which has “Portfolio” templates with “Portfolio Category” taxonomy.

If I enable “Portfolio Filter” in settings the Assistant displays the exact same list taxonomy tags as the themes’s own Portfolio Category tags. So I imagine something is working correctly. However the Portfolio Tags are all disabled. There is no interaction or connection between the Theme “Portfolio Category” status and “Portfolio Filter” status (true/false). Dynamic mods are set. The two identical lists of taxonomies appear disconnected and Media edit template shows one table whilst Portfolio edit template show the other table.

I am not sure if this is supported in the documentation as it is quite difficult for me to digest. If there is more info required or a section to modify please advise.

Thank you for your question and the time you’ve taken to provide the additional details.

As you have seen, MLA can add any WordPress custom taxonomy to your Media Library Items. However, other themes and plugins can use taxonomies in different ways and may not have any code to use the terms assigned to Media Library items.

I searched for a “Division” theme and found some premium themes with that name at Themeforest. I hope you understand that I cannot afford to purchase themes and plugins just to provide MLA support.

I suggest you contact the Division support team. If they are willing loan me a copy of the Division theme I would be happy to investigate your issue and give you what help I can. You or they can give me contact information and I will respond with an email address for further communication. You can use the Contact Us page at our web site:

It has been a month since my last post to this topic. Since I have not heard anything further from you I assume you have found a solution for your application.

I am marking this topic resolved, but please update it if you have any problems or further questions regarding the “portfolio” aspects of your application. Thanks for your interest in the plugin.
