I am using the Jetpack Portfolion as a library of posts showing PDF files (using a PDF Embedder plugin) and it works Great!

However, when displaying the archive of them …/portfolio it displays the page title as “Projects” which does not fit with the context of the site or its use.

How can I change the URL of “/portfolio” and the archive title of “Projects” to something else that will survive JetPack updates? Something like “/documents” and “Documents”?

I cannot share the actual example pages, since this is part of a private company portal.

  • Hello @perfectreputationsnowadmin

    I am glad to help!

Regarding your request, the title customization will all be done through the theme you’re using, so I recommend checking with the theme support.

Essentially, we facilitate the theme with the management of the Portfolio items, but the theme handles how they’re displayed.

Let me know if you have any questions.

    My best regards,

    Michelle

The theme only displays what was registered for the post type, right?
The word “Project” is not controlled by the theme, but by your plugin? Why not add an option field in JetPack to allow it to be changed?

    Hi @perfectreputationsnowadmin

This is something that has been brought up to the Jetpack team in the past, but we have decided not to implement the feature.

Instead, you should create a new custom taxonomy using a separate plugin to get the URL that you want.

Here’s the discussion of this feature:
