Portfolio slideshow plugin, adding images when it shouldn't be

Hi,
I’m using the portfolio slideshow plugin on my homepage at http://www.colourpopdesign.com and I’m trying to add 3 images below the ‘Welcome to Colourpop’ line.

Each image (approx 250px by 50px) will be at the top of a column and will have text below, so 3 columns. However each time I upload an image and insert it into the post it inserts it but also adds it to the main homepage slideshow!

Can anyone help me with simply putting an image on the page so it doesn’t add it to the portfolio.
